"Does Spirituality Require Religion?"

Well, perhaps.

The main issue here, it seems to me, isn’t so much knowledge as wisdom. Science has given us plenty of knowledge and plenty of doubt to go along with it. What science cannot give us is guidance in our lives. Though it has to be said that psychology does help in that direction at least a bit.

From a theosophical perspective there are roughly five possible sources of inspiration:

1. Lying spirits
2. Nature spirits who know the dynamics of the area they rule, this can included angels and arch angels who stay in touch with the whole world. Rule is perhaps the wrong word here, but I can’t find a better. My sense is that these spirits are sort of the personification of the collective spirit of that area.
3. Our own Higher Self: not all knowing, but the repository of all our own wisdom gathered throughout several lives.
4. Mahatmas and other human beings who communicate clairvoyant. These may be good or bad or indifferent just like ordinary human beings are.
5. Last but not least: any of the above, mixed in with our own conditioning's and expectations and depending on your religion, Christianity.

Let me quote Blavatsky herself:

There is a road, steep and thorny, beset with perils of every kind, but yet a road, and it leads to the very heart of the Universe:
I can tell you how to find those who will show you the secret gateway that opens inward only, and closes fast behind the neophyte for evermore.
There is no danger that dauntless courage cannot conquer;
there is no trial that spotless purity cannot pass through;
there is no difficulty that strong intellect cannot surmount.
For those who win onwards there is reward past all telling — the power to bless and save humanity;
for those who fail, there are other lives in which success may come.

Notice the values of courage, spotless purity, strong intellect and ultimately ‘the power to bless and save humanity’.

None of those values can be got by becoming a channel, because to become a channel is at best a way to let the unconscious speak out, at worse the road to dependence on impulse and grand sounding words. Don’t get me wrong: it’s a good thing to know what you’re unconscious is saying and it may even be a good thing to immerse yourself in it for a while, but ultimately the conscious mind has to gain enlightenment and it can’t do that by walking away from the responsibility of being alive.

As perhaps you all have noticed: I have not written for a while. That was because I was myself struggling with the temptation to become a channel. I could not write about spiritual issues before the choice was made. Wisdom Man, Banjo Clarke, an Aboriginal Elder reminded me of the value of real human wisdom. It may not be as ‘perfect’ sounding as channeled messages, but it’s a lot more practical and real.

Yes I know now then we all are left with the question of "Does Spirituality Require Religion?"

So I went on the search to find out more about this and came across this...

The search for spirituality and a higher power is one that makes its way into a person's life inevitably. Organized religion is a common place for people to begin their search for spiritual answers.

This, however, does not always provide the direction that fits a person's personal beliefs and dispositions towards a spiritual attitude.

The debate must include other abstract conceptions of spirituality, in conjunction with the tenants of organized religion, in order to be a wholesome and fulfilling conversation.

There are many sides to the spiritual debate, and the inclusion of all attitudes ensures that the dialogue is entirely pertinent, accepting, and beneficial to all participants.

And just like that the question does spirituality  require religion became so clear. you cannot have the one witout the other, or having one automatically qualifies you in both.
You get it now?!

You call it madness, I call it love.

Love is the key that will open the doors of self-fulfillment and happiness. Love is the key of life and of unspeakable beauty and glory. One of the most misunderstood words in our universe is the word LOVE.

What does this elusive word mean?

Love is not just a word; no love is a feeling, emotion an essence!

Love is power a vibration it is life itself. Without love the world would cease to exist.

Every day we as a society fall deeper into the realms of despair and negativity. We have forgotten love in our every day lives.

We plod through life with but one thought, get through this day, giving no thought to the power of the mind and love.

Remember the love you held for that one special person in your life. It may have been your very first love. No words were needed to express how you felt; you just knew how you reacted to that one special individual. Your minds were unified, as though you were one mind, one person, and one identity. Oh, the peace, happiness and harmony, the feeling of love that goes beyond human understanding that the two of you experienced.

The joy that you felt, it goes beyond words, beyond human description. Love goes beyond anything mortal man can perceive. Love goes beyond thought, beyond human emotions, to an experience like the first time you held a baby, or saw a beautiful sunset. Love is like the time you smelled a rose and looked upon its delicate creation. Love is like, feeling the tranquil sensations as you walked upon the seashore listening to the melody of the breaking waves upon the pure sand.

Loves serenity comforts you, like listening to the heavenly sounds of an angelic choir that lulled you into a mystic relaxation and envelopes you with great thoughts and inspiration. Love is like the joy you feel as you listen to a warm gentle breeze rustling the leaves of the trees with fragrance that surrounds your soul to its limitless depths. Loves joyous sensations as you lay in a grassy field and watching the clouds lazily drifting along on a gentle morning dawn. Love is like the stars in the heavens as they twinkle in holy expectation of the wondrous promises of ever lasting life. Oh, What a creative power love possess. Yet it is one universal law, one perfect mind one life united in love.

Rich or poor, young or old, happy or sad, man or woman, you are like the angels in heaven full of love and giving. You have a great purpose in life that purpose is to know why you are here. Your purpose is to experience life and love to its fullest, and to learn each lesson as it is presented. Search your heart; seek the truth and love within you. You have many lessons to learn, love is the greatest lesson of all.

Opening your mind in love is the way to find your reason to live, your place in this vast universe. The one inseparable yet cohesive factor of the universe is love. Love is a dynamic, living force. It is spiritual, eternal and all-powerful. Love is not only a creative force; it is always constructive and beneficial.

Your love can restore, rebuild and rectify, exalt and glorify your life, your body, your mind and every vibrating part of you being. Love looks deeper than your human vision. Love is the pure gold that is found when you can stand in the midst of your heartbreak, amid the floods of temptations, through fear of rejection and failure of life.

Letting the sunshine through the rain of your tears and a smile is called forth, in love and gratitude. Your love dispels the gloom and eradicates the threats of drowning in this mortal existence.
Love is the power of eternal triumph over mortal trials and tribulation.

Love is the spiritual gold that reflects your fears and lost noble aspirations and converts them into the overcoming of this mortal life and creates there your glorious wisdom. This is boundless wealth, your power unlimited...

                                             This is love in action, and we are love in action!

what would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

If you could do anything and know you would not be able to fail! Wouldn't that be just what each and everyone of us needs right know? Well what if I told you, you can... Yes, you heard me right you can, its possible for you to do anything and everything you've always wanted and be totally successful! The secret to this lies with you and it can only be done and realised by your own power and will to do it! You've got the key to unlock the greatest power that has been given to any one person on this earth, and its in each and everyone of us!

You may think at this moment in time that this is a load of "crap" maybe it is? But maybe it just means you need a little inspiration. You need a little sumpin’ sumpin’ to get your creative juices flowing, to unblock those clogged neuro-pathways and unleash your inner winner!

The more you get out in the world, the greater the opportunity to be inspired. Words are inspiring. People are inspiring. Life is (or should be) inspiring. Inspiration does not come like a bolt. Nor is it kinetic, energetic striving. It comes into us slowly and quietly all the time, though we must regularly and every day give it a little chance to start flowing, prime it with a little solitude and idleness. So i believe when you’re in the environment, you become the environment.  I don’t believe in willpower alone.  I believe the imagination is way, way stronger as well as, you know, the people we surround ourselves with, so I’m constantly making sure my imagination is actively looking at what I want...

What I want is for only one person to read this now, tomorrow, next week maybe sometime in the future and connect to what I am trying to get across. The message that you are capable of anything you put your mind to! Anything you can imagine yourself being or doing. The most difficult thing about it is not to listen to all those critics and people always getting you down with they're negative quotes and saying! Don't let them get you down with word, get above them with you're actions! Actions speak louder than words... Let your light shine! Let your inner soul light up with power and feel how you can change and touch the world and heal those in need of healing with your words...

When you examine the lives of the most influential people who have ever walked among us, you discover one thread that winds through them all. They have been aligned first with their spiritual nature and only then with their physical selves. I firmly believe that all human beings have access to extraordinary energies and powers. Judging from accounts of mystical experience, heightened creativity, or exceptional performance by athletes and artists, we harbor a greater life than we know. There we go beyond those limited and limiting patterns of body, emotions, volition, and understanding that have been keeping us in dry-dock. Instead we become available to our capacity for a larger life in body, mind, and spirit. In this state we know great torrents of delight.

The sensual and spiritual are linked together by a mysterious bond, sensed by our emotions, though hidden from our eyes. To this double nature of the visible and invisible world to the profound longing for the latter, coupled with the feeling of the sweet necessity for the former, we owe all sound and logical systems of philosophy, truly based on the immutable principles of our nature, just as from the same source arise the most senseless enthusiasms!

With the announcement of iPad there is a great deal of excitement going on in the world, nearly no device has caused this much excitement before. An iPad is totally a new and exceptional technology , a mini computer in your hand which you can use with your finger tips means touch screen.

I can’t say anything about the camera but regarding the multitasking and flash issues don’t you think a jailbreak can’t fix it like it did on iPhone.

An iPad is basically like an iPhone on a 9.7-inch tablet, but with a lot more cool functions and features. It’s a more advanced and exceptional device that will surely leave all the other tablet pc behind.

There are also few accessories that are available for iPad. Camera connection kit, you can turn your iPad into a high resolution camera with this kit. USB Adapter, iPad has the battery with a usage time of 10hours and you can charge this battery with a long wired adapter, which offers 10W of power.Keyboard dock, this is an external keyboard, which can be connected to iPad, when using it like a notebook.

Failure is the opportunity to begin!

Kanye West may have lost the plot when it comes to dental care, but it seems some of his lyrics ring true for mental health care. In his song Stronger, Kanye sings: “now that don’t kill me, can only make me stronger...”

The origin for these famous lyrics goes all the way back to the German Philosopher Nietzsche in the mid 1800’s, but a recent study has got us re-examining these wise old words. The study asked a national sample of people to report all the adverse events or tough times they have experienced in their lives and also asked them about their current mental health and well being.

The researchers found that people who experienced some adverse events reported better mental health and well-being than people with a high history of adversity i.e. tough times or those with no history of adversity. So apparently a little bit of adversity is good for us, but not too much or too little.

At some point in our lives, everyone will go through a tough time of some kind. Unfortunately, no one is able to choose how much of a tough time they go through, but hope springs eternal, and by simply getting through that tough time, it may make us a stronger person, more resilient and better able to deal with what life has in store for us next.

No one's life is a smooth sail; we all come into stormy weather. But it's this adversity and more specifically, our resilience that makes us strong and successful. But no-one can tke the leap of faith for you, you have to jump...

It's the rare person that has never felt pain or had tragedy touch their lives. And anyone that's come out on the other side has something valuable to say that others can benefit from.

Faith lingers, one way or another, in every society. For those who have given up on Christianity, there's a newly coined term, "cultural Christian," to describe the half-hearted believer or the timid atheist. Never give up on faith as faith gives us the streng we need to believe and believing guides the way to success!

Here's the very cool thing about our human consciousness. We can't be in a state of fear and one of love at the same time. They can't coexist. So when you are stuck in fear, reconnect to love.

Resilience enables “bouncing back” after stressful organisational and life events such as significant change, stress, adversity and hardship, and incorporates the concept of emerging from the adversity stronger and more resourceful. At work, resilience is the ability to remain task focussed and productive whilst experiencing tough times.

Failure is not getting knocked down, it's not getting up again! Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently... Success consists of getting up just one more time than you fall down...

If you feel like life has got you one up! Just always remmember: Life is a succession of moments, seconds and minutes. To live each one is to succeed. In the end its not about if you've won or lost, but how you played the game...

True wisdom is less presuming than folly. The wise man doubteth often, and changeth his mind... the fool is obstinate, and doubteth not... He knoweth all things but his own ignorance...

To be satisfied with a little, is the greatest wisdom, and he that increases his riches, increaseth his cares, but a contented mind is a hidden treasure. As a camel suffers and works in the heat, and hunger, and thirst, through deserts of sand, and doesnt faint. So the fortune of a man shall sustain him through all perils.

When virtue and modesty enlighten her charms, the lustre of a beautiful woman is brighter than the stars of heaven, and the influence of her power it is in vain to resist.

There will be no end to the troubles of our world of humanity itself, till philosophers become kings in this world, or till those we now call kings and rulers really and truly become philosophers, and political power and philosophy thus come into the same hands. One must not weep to show when one is afraid, and that is why kings are tyrants.

I have spread my dreams beneath your feet. Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

The moment a young man ceases to dream or to bemoan his lack of opportunities and resolutely looks his conditions in the face, and resolves to change them, he lays the cornerstone of a solid and honorable success.

You are what your deep, driving desire is.
               As your desire is, so is your will.
                          As your will is, so is your deed.
                                    As your deed is, so is your destiny.  

 


If we would see the color of our future, we must look for it in our present, if we would gaze on the star of our destiny, we must look for it in our hearts. Love nothing but that which comes to you woven in the pattern of your destiny. For what could more fitting to your needs? Adapt yourself to the life you have been given, and truly love the people with whom destiny has surrounded you.

Our destiny changes with our thoughts, we shall become what we wish to become, do what we wish to do, when our habitual thoughts correspond with our desires. Don't waste your life in doubts and fears, spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour's duties will be the best preparation for the hours or ages that follow it.

The fact is that in order to do anything in this world worth doing, we must not stand shivering on the bank thinking of the cold and the danger, but jump in and scramble through as well as we can. Those who come last enter with advantage. The materials for judging are prepared, and the foundations of knowledge are laid to their hands. Besides, if the point was tried by antiquity, antiquity would lose it, for the present age is really the oldest, and has the largest experience to plead.

There is only one success in life "to be able to spend your life in your own way with no regrets"

Better never to have met you in my dream than to wake and reach for hands that are not there... I was never one to patiently pick up broken fragments and glue them together again and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new. What is broken is broken -- and I'd rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken places as long as I live...

For you I'd Just be there. Someone to talk to, share things with...confide in. Someone to ask you how was your day and you'd be comfortable enough to share, without fear of ridicule and disinterest. Someone to cuddle with and share intimate moments with.

We can play together, laugh together, and cry together. Know when you want to be alone and when you want someone to hold you close. Understand your limits and know where to draw the line. Know your friends male/female and accept them all as my friends.

I would trust you and be trust worthy enough for you. You will have no fears with me, live dangerously and make everyday an adventure. Live life and love it. Be alone and never be lonely.

Passion, kindness, honesty, happiness, sincerity, and respect will be everyday words. Hatred, sadness, contempt, and hypocrisy will never come about.

A million people in a room and I'll only have eyes for you. Wear your emotions on your sleeves for I will care for them as my own. Give me a smile and I will give you my whole. Be there for me,and I'll be there for you.

Some people hear their own inner voices with great clearness, and they live by what they hear. Such people become crazy or they become legends.

A story like mine should never be told. For my world is as forbidden as it is fragile. Without it's mysteries it cannot survive. I certainly wasn't born to the life of a normality.
